1
00:00:00.500 --> 00:00:10.500
Start by assembling H-Cell membrane.

2
00:00:11.000 --> 00:00:28.500
Peel the membrane seal rings apart and attach to the membrane ports.

3
00:00:29.000 --> 00:00:40.500
Place membrane between the membrane seals and secure together using the H-cell clamp.

4
00:00:41.000 --> 00:00:46.500
At this stage, you would fill each cell with electrolyte (2/3 full)

5
00:00:47.000 --> 00:01:03.500
To position electrodes, first unscrew the electrode port feedthrough

6
00:01:04.000 --> 00:01:11.500
Place your electrode in the port, using the gasket ring to adjust penetration depth.

7
00:01:12.000 --> 00:01:21.500
Once happy, secure in place using the electrode port feedthrough. This creates a tight seal at this port.

8
00:01:22.000 --> 00:01:29.500
The gas port uses a similar sealing mechanism and should be assembled before attaching to the gas source

9
00:01:30.000 --> 00:01:49.500
Feed the 3 mm gas line through the port feedthrough, then add a gas line rubber gasket.

10
00:01:50.000 --> 00:01:59.500
Then secure this back in the gas port.

11
00:02:00.000 --> 00:02:13.500
Make sure the inlet line goes into the port with the gas bubbler.

12
00:02:14.000 --> 00:02:26.500
Once the electrode and inlet/outlet lines are assembled, fix lid back onto the half cell.

13
00:02:27.000 --> 00:02:37.500
Once all electrodes and gas lines are fitted, you are ready to start your experiment.

14
00:02:38.000 --> 00:02:54.500
If you wish to block the gas lines, you can use the gas line stopper tubes provided.

15
00:02:55.000 --> 00:03:16.500
These are assembled using the same method as the gas line to create a tight seal.

16
00:03:17.000 --> 00:03:29.500
Similarly, if you decide to use only two electrodes, you can seal the remaining with the given electrode stopper screw.
